This time i have a rare montblanc simplo 204 safety pen with a steel 4 1/2 stubby nib for sale.
It is one of my most beatiful pens due to the marks the pen has gathered during his life.
The pen is dated around 1935, and is a full black hard rubber model. The bhr has some discoloration, but makes for abeatifull pen.
The pen was well used during his life,
The white star has a nice vintage cracking ongooing.
The pen is dated around 1935 and is a rare item to find. The pen is a bakelite (black hard rubber) model, and therefore there are some color shifts onto the pen, but for my taste make the pen have a beautiful vintage styling.
It's a well used pen, and the inscription on the pen barrel, sim-plo original montblanc is weared down. The cap has the imprint montblanc wich is in better condition.The white star has a nice vintage cracking ongooing.
The cork seal was replaced with a rubber seal by fountainbel, and the mechanics of the pen are perfectly working. The nib needed to be straigthened,and fountainbel did a good job on the nib aswell. I've used the pen for a couple of months in my daily rotation because of the beatifull nib that the pen has, but hasn't seen much use afterwards due to the inconvienience for using in the field. I've stored the pen, and in the mean time it seems as the nib hav developped a small crack into the nib.
Following inscription on the nib: montblanc 4 1/2 WV4.
Numbering on the barel is 204, M but the nib is more like a stub.
